How to complain about commissioning

Commissioning is the process of assessing, planning, prioritising, buying, and monitoring the services we need to keep us healthy.

Health care

The Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB) pays for most health-related services and care in Norfolk on behalf of NHS England.

This includes:

  • GPs
  • NHS Dentists
  • Pharmacies
  • Opticians
  • Military health services
  • Hospital non-emergency care
  • Ambulance
  • Out-of-hours
  • NHS 111
  • Community health services
  • Mental health services
  • NHS continuing care

If you would like to raise any concerns about changes to services, gaps in services, or other commissioning decisions, you can complain to the commissioner.

This is the organisation that pays for the service or care. This will vary depending on the service you are complaining about.
