Shared Care Record
Have you had enough of repeating yourself over and over again in health and social care settings?
Have you wondered why those looking after you cannot see information about your medication, allergies, treatment, and care in the same place?
Shared Care Records are coming to Norfolk and mean health and social care professionals, directly involved in your care, will be able to access your records safely and securely. They will be used in a number of different places including hospitals, GP surgeries, the 111 service, and social care.
Not only does this allow different health care professionals to see relevant information about your care and treatment, it also means you only have to tell your story once.

- Reduced waiting times and repetition: There will be less time contacting departments and organisations, and less time repeatedly telling your story or sensitive, sometimes uncomfortable information.
- More efficient testing: One record will reduce the duplication of tests.
- More holistic care: It will improve communication between those working in health and care who can consider your your overall health, care, and social circumstances and not looking at your immediate condition.
NHS Norfolk and Waveney says “No matter how complex your condition, you can be confident you are in the right place at the right time.”
