Artificial Intelligence (AI) statement
This Artificial Intelligence (AI) statement explains Healthwatch Norfolk’s approach to the use of AI in its work and the measures put in place to ensure accuracy, transparency and data security.
How we use AI
Healthwatch Norfolk may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support certain administrative, research, communications and content development activities. Any use of AI is subject to appropriate human oversight and review.
AI may be used to assist with tasks such as drafting, summarising, analysing or organising information.
However, Healthwatch Norfolk staff remain responsible for all published content, reports, findings and recommendations. Final outputs are reviewed and approved by staff and reflect the judgement, expertise and accountability of Healthwatch Norfolk.
Responsible and Sustainable Use of AI
We recognise that AI technologies have both benefits and environmental impacts, including energy and resource consumption. When considering the use of AI, we take account of factors such as effectiveness, data protection, security, quality, accountability and sustainability.
We aim to use AI proportionately and responsibly, seeking to ensure that any benefits to our work and the communities we serve justify its use and associated environmental impact.
