Age UK

Age UK can help carers of older people, their family and friends, with advice on many subjects including financial support, juggling work and caring, dementia care, having a break from caring, and adjusting your life if a loved one moves into a care home or passes away.

Independent Age

Independent Age helps older people to remain independent and live life on their own terms. It gives clear, free and impartial advice on issues like

  • care and support
  • money and benefits
  • health and mobility

The Silver Line

The Silver Line is a free, confidential telephone service just for older people. It provides friendship, conversation and support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 0800 4 70 80 90.

Money Helper

Money Helper is a Government website which features information and resources to help you manage your money.

It covers a range of areas including

  • talking to creditors
  • money problems and mental wellbeing
  • budgeting
  • auto-enrolment pensions
  • debt advice

Citizens Advice

Citizens Advice offers help and support from its team of highly-trained volunteers on a wide range of areas including benefits, debt and money, and family advice.

You can find your local Citizens Advice centre on the website, and it also offers a Live Chat service online.

Carers UK

Carers UK can provide help and advice for those supporting a loved one who is older, disabled or seriously ill.

It can help with financial and practical support, advice on work and relationships, technology, and where to get additional help.

Carers Matter Norfolk

Carers Matter Norfolk helps to support one of the 100,000 unpaid carers living in the county. It offers free, independent and confidential support from its team of advisors and family carer practitioners.

Family Action

Family Action provides practical, emotional and financial support to families experiencing poverty, disadvantage and social isolation.

It works directly with vulnerable children and families.

It also runs a Family Line which provides a listening ear, answer questions, or help with guidance.

NCAN

NCAN can refer the public and professional organisations to its members for advice, support and information.

It wants to make sure people in Norfolk can get the help they need.
