Safeguarding

This page offers a list of support and information services if you need to safeguard someone.

What is safeguarding?

Safeguarding is the act of protecting children, and adults (who may have care and support needs), from the risk and experience of harm, neglect and abuse.

It is about working together to prevent harm from happening, and also acting quickly when abuse has happened or is suspected.

If you have a concern about an adult or child, call Norfolk County Council 0344 800 8020 or visit their website to report a concern – Norfolk County Council. In an emergency, always call 999.

The Norfolk Safeguarding Adults Board

The Norfolk Safeguarding Adults Board (NSAB) brings together organisations to actively promote effective working relationships between different organisations and professional groups to address the issue of abuse and harm.

The Norfolk Safeguarding Children Partnership

The Norfolk Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSCP) focus on making sure that all children and young people in Norfolk can expect to stay safe and that the appropriate action is taken by relevant organisations, if children are in need of help.
