Vision for new James Paget Hospital unveiled

Details have been released of the vision for a new James Paget University Hospital (JPH) in Gorleston, with the public now being asked to share their views on the plans.

Termed ‘Future Paget’, the latest design of what the new building could look like has been drawn up to show staff, patients and the wider community the size, scale and location of the proposed site, which is situated to the rear of where the current hospital stands.

The JPH has been prioritised by the Government to be rebuilt and has been allocated a budget of £1-1.5 billion to complete the project, with £9.8 million of funding being provided by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) to purchase land from Great Yarmouth Borough Council.

Staff and expert health planners have worked together to draw up the plans, incorporating national guidance from the DHSC’s New Hospital Programme.

The hospital is now inviting people to give their feedback on the plans for Future Paget.  Read more about the proposals and share your views here.
