Do you have to keep repeating your story when you visit your GP practice?
Do you work in a practice and need more help using patient information systems?
Healthwatch Norfolk is aiming to find out how well hi-tech solutions to share patient information are working.
It is looking into the Shared Care Record, which was launched at the beginning of 2024.
The idea behind it was to make sure health and care professionals could read information about you that they needed to help treat you wherever you were.
Known as the Shared Care Record, it would see people in hospitals, ambulances, 111, and working in social care all have access to the information they need to help you.
The record is also available to teams in GP practices.
Healthwatch Norfolk is working with NHS Norfolk and Waveney to understand what staff think about the system.
Have your say
It is running a survey to discover levels of training on various aspects of its use, find out how frequently they use it, and what they use it for.
You can find more information and a link to the survey here.
You can also leave feedback by scanning the QR code below:
Or by calling Healthwatch Norfolk on 0808 168 9669 between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday.
Alongside this, there is also a separate survey to find out what the public view is of the Shared Care Record.
Healthwatch Norfolk wants to find out if people are aware of the electronic system.
It also wants to discover whether people feel comfortable asking GP staff to use it if they are being repeatedly asked about their symptoms or illness.

Alex Stewart, chief executive of Healthwatch Norfolk, said:
“We want to understand whether people are getting the benefit of the Shared Care Record.
“Insight from both healthcare professionals and patients will help NHS Norfolk and Waveney gain a better understanding of people’s experiences.
“It will also help ensure that everyone who needs it has access to patient information and people do not have to keep repeating themselves when they are getting care.”
