You can have a first look at proposals for one of Norfolk’s new hospitals this summer.
A series of public events are being held to get feedback on proposals for the new Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn.
It will be built on the current main car park of the site and will see patients care for in single rooms.
The building is being developed using a mix of local feedback and a national design which has been developed after talking to hundreds of clinicians, healthcare staff and patients.
You can have your say at a series of information sessions being held across the area. There will be an opportunity to see what the new building could look like (subject to planning), and find out more about the vast amount of ongoing work to make this state-of the-art building a reality.
Events will be taking place at the following locations. Doors open at 5.45pm with presentations starting at 6pm:
Tuesday 10 June Hunstanton Town Hall
Thursday 12 June King’s Lynn Town Hall
Monday 16 June Virtual event
Wednesday 18 June Swaffham Assembly Rooms
Wednesday 25 June South Wootton Village Hall
Wednesday 16 July Marshland St James Village Hall
Monday 21 July Downham Market Town Hall
Paul Brooks, Director of Estates and Facilities and Senior Responsible Officer for the New QEH, said: “We are delighted to be able to bring along first visuals to show people what the New QEH could look like and give them a feel for how our new, digitally enabled, hospital will function.
“There is a huge amount of work underway to bring a new hospital to West Norfolk for our patients, our community and our staff. I look forward to meeting as many people as possible at these events updating on our progress towards a New QEH and the work to keep our current site open and providing the best possible care.”
