Norfolk and Waveney PPG Evaluation November 2022

This report sets out the awareness of Patient Participation Groups (PPGs) in Norfolk and the support they need. We found awareness of them varied around the county. Members felt they needed more support with communication both within the practice and the local community, so people were aware of their work and they could attract more members.

Healthwatch Norfolk was asked to find out how Patient Participation Groups (PPGs) were working across Norfolk, and what help and support they needed to be more successful and develop further.

The idea of a PPG is laudable but I fail to see how any practice can improve in the current environment of staff shortages and burnt out disenchanted staff who do their best in very difficult circumstances. They need medals not feedback.
