Healthwatch Norfolk visited Heath Lodge in Holt to talk to people living there about their experiences living there. This is part of a programme of targeted engagement visiting care homes across Norfolk.
Heath Lodge is on the outskirts of Holt and, when we visited, it had 41 residents out of a capacity of 66. Most residents were privately funded with a mix of people living with dementia and those who are not.
During our visit, we received six reviews – four from residents and two from staff. These reviews had an average star rating of 4.1 out of 5.
Several people said they liked their rooms and praise was given to staff. Most said they liked the food, and one was concerned that those with dementia might miss out on activities.
