More than 12,000 people have had their spring Covid-19 booster at a Norfolk vaccination centre making it the busiest in the region.
The team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn’s purpose-built centre started offering the jab in April to those 75 and over, care home residents, and people who are severely immunosuppressed.
Annabelle Howard, Operational Lead at the QEH Vaccination Centre, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the QEH, and the Vaccination team and I am so proud of everyone’s hard work in keeping our communities safe and protected.”
Helen Blanchard, Interim Chief Nurse, added: “I am hugely proud of the team – this is a fantastic achievement and a true testament to their hard work. We’ve received some lovely feedback from patients using this service and it’s great to see so many members of our community taking up the spring booster.”
This autumn the Vaccination Centre will deliver its flu vaccination programme to patients, staff and public alongside the autumn COVID-19 Booster programme.
