QEH bookings for Covid-19 spring booster

This spring, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital will once again be offering the COVID-19 vaccine to those who are at highest risk of getting seriously unwell if they catch the virus.

If you are aged 75 or over or if you or your child have a weakened immune system, you will soon be able to top up your protection and book your vaccine.

From Monday 15 April, eligible people will be able book a 2024 Spring Booster online via the NHS National Booking site. The day also heralds the start of QEH Covid booster programme in care homes and for those who are housebound.

Online bookings

For the King’s Lynn area, people will be able to book online from Monday 15 April for an appointment from Monday 22 April at either the on-site vaccination centre at The QEH or in the town centre pop-up vaccination clinic in the former Gifted store at 24 New Conduit Street, King’s Lynn PE30 1DE. Walk-in appointments are not currently being offered.

Phone bookings

The QEH vaccination team is now taking phone bookings for the onsite hub and town centre clinical via 01553 214530 for appointments starting on 22 April. The phone line is operational Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.

Who is eligible?

If you have a weakened immune system, your protection against COVID-19 may fade more quickly than other people’s. You can get the extra protection by getting the spring COVID-19 vaccine.

You may be eligible for the vaccine if you have a disorder affecting your immune system, are undergoing immunosuppressive treatment, such as for cancer, or are taking medications that increase your risk of infection. You can check the summary of health conditions, treatments and medications that can cause a weakened immune system on the NHS website.
