Do you use a website or app for medical care?

If you use a website or smartphone app when accessing medical care, we would like to hear from you.

Do you use a website or smartphone app when you are accessing medical care? If so, we would like to hear from you.

We are working with NHS Norfolk and Waveney to find out if the different digital options work for you, how they help you, and where things could be improved.

These options include:

  • Your GP practice website
  • An app on your smartphone linked to your surgery where you can access your medical records, re-order medication, book or alter an appointment, or send a message to the practice team.
  • The NHS app which offers a number of services including ordering repeat prescriptions, booking and changing appointments, looking at medical records or booking a Covid-19 vaccination.
  • In addition, Healthwatch Norfolk wants to find out if people are aware of the Shared Care Record which sees information available digitally so different medical and care organisations can check records and patients do not have to keep on repeating themselves. You can find out more about that at https://healthwatchnorfolk.co.uk/healthwatch-norfolk-resources/shared-care-record/

Healthwatch Norfolk will be analysing all the results of the survey and will report those back to health and care leaders. We will also publish a report with our findings.

You can give your feedback in the survey by:

  • Or you can call Healthwatch Norfolk on 0808 168 9669 to leave your feedback.

You have until January 8, 2024 to share your views.

The Healthwatch Norfolk team will also be talking to medical professionals about their experiences of using different apps and websites, and will also be looking at the work done in Digital Health Hubs in libraries where people can get help and support to use the different digital options like websites and phone apps if they are new to them or not confident in logging on.
